Classic baby rice recipe

Cooling comfort food, perfect for hot days
Servings: 2 | Preparation time: 5 min | Cooking time: 10 min. (plus cooling)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cooked white rice (preferably short grain rice)

  • 1 cup fresh yogurt (smoothed)

  • ½ cup Milk (Adjust consistency)

  • 1 tsp ginger paste

  • ½ tsp Salt

Tempering (Tadka):

  • 1 tbsp Ghee

  • ½ tsp Mustard seeds

  • 1 dried red chili pepper

  • 10 curry leaves

Optional accessories:

  • Pomegranate seeds

  • Finely chopped cucumber

Preparation:

  1. Mash rice with milk to dissolve lumps

  2. Stir in yogurt, ginger and salt

  3. Prepare tempering in ghee and pour over

  4. Before serving at least 1 hour Let cool Serve

Tips:

✔ Best with Rice from the day before
✔ Prevents souring by Storage ≤ 8 hours
